As 2007 concludes, I thank you for your continued commitment and support of our business. Partnerships with our customers and teamwork by our associates keep us winning in the marketplace. Our last quarter was strong, with results ahead of plan. I’m proud of Webcom’s accomplishments and the progress we have made on our key strategies this year and know we couldn’t do it without you.

Last year’s highlights include:

  • Doubling our customer base - Webcom, Inc. has doubled its customer base in the last year. The achievement demonstrates a rapidly accelerating adoption rate and marks a new milestone in the acceptance of the WebSource CPQ product configurator by the business community.
  • Launching version 6.0 of WebSource CPQ - WebSource CPQ V6.0 provides significant new user and administrative enhancements. The new user and administrative enhancements are focused in areas of ease of use and minimization of the number of clicks required.
  • Finishing development of Responsibility - Requiring only a browser, Webcom’s Responsibility solution was introduced to handle the workflow needs addressing the demand of both internal and external customers and tracking the corrective action process. You’ve always had the responsibility: now you have the ability to respond.

We also had a lot of fun in and out of the office, especially during our 3rd annual client summit in Las Vegas and customer appreciation event in Milwaukee. Furthermore, we have invested in capital and people to support our key strategies. By doing this, we build demand while better servicing our customers so that we win in the marketplace. Because our organization is the strongest it’s ever been, I have great confidence in our ability to grow in the face of strong competition.

We’ve got the right strategies, the right people and are ready for the challenges ahead as we look forward to our collective success in 2008 and beyond.


Webcom Dramatically Improves Customers’ Selling Efficiency with WebSource CPQ V6.0 Release

Webcom, Inc. is proud to announce the general availability of version 6.0 of its market leading WebSource CPQ (Configuration, Pricing, Quotation & Proposal) solution. With a continued focus on ease of use for both end users and administrators, as well as “click minimization”, WebSource CPQ V6.0 received applause as it debuted at the 3rd annual Webcom Client Summit held in Las Vegas October 2007.

“Our clients are being challenged to address the unique needs of each individual customer. Flexibility in discounting and markup, multiple levels of pricing, extending approval processing beyond the traditional pricing and discounting approval model, and the like, continues to present opportunities to innovate and drive value,” said Aleksandar Ivanovic, CEO and founder of Webcom, Inc. “WebSource CPQ V6.0 is the next iteration of our client-driven approach,” added Ivanovic.

Based on client feedback and requests and implementation work done with our CRM partners, WebSource CPQ V6.0 provides significant new user and administrative enhancements. These enhancements are focused in areas of ease of use and minimization of the number of clicks required including:

Webcom, Inc. Makes Future 50 List

Webcom , Inc. is proud to announce their selection as a Metro Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC) ‘Future 50’ Award Winner for the third consecutive year in a row. The list recognizes companies that have shown significant revenue and employment growth over a three-year period of time. As a result of receiving this honor three years in a row, Webcom qualifies for the prestigious Master Mettle Award.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel recently announced the 2007 Future 50 winners. The award is presented by the MMAC and its Council of Small Business Executives (COSBE) to fifty privately-owned companies in the seven county region that have shown significant growth in revenue and employment over the past three years. Companies are eligible for Future 50 selection for up to three years.

“We are proud to once again be recognized among Milwaukee’s fastest growing companies. Our growth and 100% client success rate is a testament to the dedication and drive of the Webcom team,” said Aleksandar Ivanovic, CEO and founder of Webcom. “We also thank our clients, who rely on us to support their mission critical business processes,” Ivanovic added.  

Combined, the 2007 Future 50 had a total employment of 2,581 jobs and $671 million in revenue. Of this year's winners, 30 were founded in the past 10 years; 17 were founded between 1986 and 1996; and 18 were founded prior to 1986. The firms on the list are a diverse representation of industries throughout the seven-county region. The MMAC launched the Future 50 Program in 1980 as a way to recognize the outstanding achievements of local, fast-growing companies. The program promotes young companies in Milwaukee, and is recognized as an important asset to the city’s economic growth.



Simplification Expert Tips

Tip 1: Category/Products/Attributes rankings

Always assign rankings in increments of 10: 10, 20, 30,… This way, if categories/products/attributes need to be reshuffled on the page, administrator has 9 positions to play with.

Tip 2: Rule Names

Start rule names with numbers: 10, 20, 30…. Number in the front of the rule names makes it easy to find (search) in both workbooks and in the set-up

Tip 3: Effective Set-up Administration

For the hard-core administrators, the most optimal/effective/efficient way to operate is to utilize 3 monitors with your PC:

  • Monitor 1: Displays workbook (xls file)
  • Monitor 2: Displays Set-up section of the CPQ
  • Monitor 3: Displays user sections of the CPQ
(please use different browsers for set-up and user section, to avoid any session cross-ups and cashing issues).
